I have spent the last 16 years working with students and families. I started my career as a 1:1 for a child diagnosed with Aspergers (at the time). From there I went on to be a general education classroom teacher, an academic intervention provider, a special education teacher, behavior therapist, consultant and coach.
I consulted with organizations on Early Childhood Development and created curriculums for daycares trying to obtain licenses. I worked providing private Early Intervention services while I pursued my BCBA.
When I formed Blue Umbrella, I was providing private in-home ABA services. I consulted with school districts and provided services in the school, home, and community for children aged 3-21. I expanded to offer services for parent training, sleeping, feeding, sensory acceptance, and more.
During my time in the field I have led workshops and presented information to other adults. I held a board position for a special education nonprofit. I am a supervisor for candidates who are completing their fieldwork hours to sit for their BCBA exams. In the past two years, I have transitioned my business to be completely virtual.
